Program Information

Program Overview:

The Early Learning Center (ELC) will be the latest extension of the Chickasha Public School District. The structure and format of the center will focus on growth and development of children while providing the following:

• Premier care-giving services
• An activity based curriculum focused on development at each age group
• Safety & security features throughout the campus
• A learning lab offering opportunities for future teachers and child care students.

Curriculum: The ELC will utilize the Brightwheel Experience as its primary curriculum for all ages of children in the center. The curriculum offers lessons for preschool, toddlers, and baby age ranges while offering research based activities, lessons, and games that are developmentally appropriate for children. 

Department of Human Services (DHS) Licensing:  The ELC will be a fully licensed DHS facility that will work to be recognized as a top rated facility.  

Security Features:  The ELC has been equipped with new security devices and protocols throughout the center that include:

• Verkada linked cameras (inside & outside)
• Access door control (main entrances into the building and to educational wings)
• Visitor management
• Observation windows in each classroom

Meals: The ELC will contract with the CPS Child Nutrition Department on providing meals (breakfast & lunch) daily.
